About This Lesson

Point 8 : Eight Block

Mathematically power is defined as the number of time that a number is to be multiplied by.
The number of times a number multiplied gives power
For example
4 × 4 × 4
Solution
4 multiplies 3 times , so it will give raise to power 3

5 × 5 × 5 × 5 × 5 × 5
Solution
6 multiplies 6 times , so it will give raise to power 6
5 × 5 × 5 × 5 × 5 × 5

Indices
Index singular while indices is plural.
Indices shows how many times a base number is multiplied by itself.
For example , 7 is the base while 4 is the index ( or power ) .

Raise to power gives you the opportunity to write the number above i.e

PAKE Discipline
Physics
Power is defined as energy expended per unit time

There is a connection between power and time . Raise to power has
a strong relationship with time ( duration )

Physical Education
Physical education ( human kinetics ). If someone need physical strength (power) it need to undergo some training like weight lifting, race, these will take a long time interval before fitness.
Therefore there is a relationship between power and time

Duration
If a board or an organization set a standard for people, students they must give them enough time to prepare ( ) Raise to power
Example of courses that demand raise to power (time) in university are ;
Engineering duration 5 years
Law duration 5 years
Medicine and surgery duration 6 years

Examination

To pass a standard, you need enough time to prepare.
Raise to power gives us time or duration to enable us prepare for the reward in a standard either positive ( reward ) or negative ( punishment ).
Students needs time to prepare before exams . The school authority must give them enough time to prepare before the exam ( standard ) , that is raise to power .
